At Ria, we have the privilege to serve some of the most hardworking people in the world. Their dedication and drive to support their loved ones, even from far away, is inspiring. Every day, we get to witness the power of a simple money transfer. By getting our customers’ money to where they need it most, we help unlock a better life for their families and communities, we help unlock a better life for their families and communities.

But there’s a lot more work to be done with the many vulnerable communities around the world, and we’re committed to doing our part.

A Closer Look at the Impact of our CSR Initiatives

This past 2024, we continued our work in early childhood education supporting Save the Children projects in Mexico and the Philippines, both of which are now entering their third year. Through these initiatives, Ria provides funding to develop learning materials for children, teachers, and caregivers. In October of 2024, part of our team visited several education centers in Mexico City, reinforcing our commitment in areas where even remittances can’t reach.

We also continued our work with our Dreamers’ Schools and Villages in Sri Lanka, Morocco and Senegal, the latter two in collaboration with our partner Internazionale Milano. Alongside Inter, we also participated in the launch of Inter Academy Chile, offering 15 scholarships through the Gol de Oro foundation to children from vulnerable communities.

As of today, more than one hundred children are benefiting directly from our Ria-funded schools, which is one way to measure the incredible impact our initiatives have on people’s lives.

Our CSR Initiatives for Emergency and Disaster Relief

Beyond the realm of education, we’ve also extended a helping hand in various emergency relief initiatives, particularly for the devastating floods in Brazil, Nepal and Spain. As we’ve been doing for many years, we partnered with TeletonUSA and Teletón El Salvador to raise funds for children with disabilities so they can receive the rehabilitation therapy they need.

In every corner of the world, our local offices joined in on a myriad of community service initiatives, from releasing baby turtles in El Salvador to organizing food drives in South Africa.

We are proud of all the good work achieved by our employees this year and can’t wait to continue giving back to our communities in 2025.
