Terms & Conditions

1. The Provider

In these Terms and Conditions, Ria Financial Services Limited and those of its affiliates who are involved in providing the Ria money remittance service, are collectively referred to as “Ria”.

2. Eligibility

This Offer is open to United Kingdom residents aged 18 (eighteen) years or over at the time of sending a money remittance through Ria for the first time as new customers, and who satisfy the “Offer Criteria” requirements set out at paragraph 3 below (“New Customer”).

Agents, employees, officers, and directors of Ria and their families are not eligible to participate in the Offer.

3. Offer Criteria

The Offer will apply to the fee charged to the New Customer for the provision of the Ria money remittance service (“Customer Fee”), on the occasion of New Customer’s first money remittance to a designated beneficiary (“Beneficiary”) provided New Customer quotes the promotion code “WELCOMERIAUK” at the time of sending the Ria money remittance. . The Offer will apply solely to such first Ria money remittance of New Customer initiated at a retail location of Ria (to exclude digital money remittances initiated online) in the United Kingdom during the Offer Period (as defined in paragraph 4 below).

Note: the Ria money remittance service for payment to a Beneficiary in Ethiopia is excluded from this Offer.

New Customers are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions upon concluding the Ria money remittance transaction to a Beneficiary. Participation in the Offer is strictly conditional on New Customer complying with these Terms and Conditions and the terms and conditions that apply to the relevant Ria money remittance and any terms, which have been separately notified to and agreed with New Customer.

4. Offer Period

The Offer begins on 1 January 2025 at 00:00 a.m. and ends on 31 December 2025 at 23:59 p.m. (times are GMT/BST as applicable) (“Offer Period”).

5. The Offer

Ria will apply a discount of 50% (fifty percent) to the Customer Fee if the “Offer Criteria” requirements set out in paragraph 3 above are satisfied.

6. General conditions

The Offer may not be substituted, assigned, or transferred by New Customer and no alternative is offered.

Ria reserves the right at any time and without notice to suspend or amend the Offer and/or these Terms and Conditions due to events falling out of its control (such as suspected or actual fraud).

Ria reserves the right at its sole discretion to withdraw the Offer if it reasonably suspects or finds a violation of these Terms and Conditions or the terms and conditions applicable to the Ria money remittance service.

Ria shall not bear responsibility for: any inaccurate information received from New Customer; delay in the availability of a Ria money remittance to a Beneficiary; or suspension or cancellation of a Ria money remittance in accordance with Ria’s terms and conditions and/or laws and regulations applicable to the Ria money remittance service.

Insofar as is permitted by law, Ria will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate New Customer or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury, or death occurring as a result of collecting or taking up the Offer except where it is caused by the negligence of Ria or that of its employees. New Customer’s statutory rights are not affected.

7. Law and jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and New Customers shall submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

Promotion GHANA3 - Web and App

Use the code ADD3, on the Ria Money Transfer mobile application (the “App”), or at www.riamoneytransfer.com (the “Website”), when sending money to Ghana via mobile wallet to receive an additional amount of £3 (three pounds sterling), which will be added directly to the principal amount of your Payment Order (the “Bonus”).

To qualify for the Bonus, (i) your Payment Order must be for at least £50 (fifty pounds sterling) and (ii) the payment method selected for the designated beneficiary in Ghana must be the beneficiary´s mobile wallet.

This promotion is available to all customers (new or existing). However, the code may only be used once per calendar month per person during the promotional period, which runs from October 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025.

Standard fees and charges still apply.

Terms and Conditions for the Ria New Year Hamper Prize Draw

The Promoter

The promoter for the Prize Draw is Ria Financial Services Limited, a company incorporated in England and Wales with registered number 04263192 located at 55 Baker Street, London, W1U 7EU, United Kingdom (hereinafter referred to as “RIA” or “The Promoter”). RIA is an agent of Euronet Payment Services Limited, which operates an international network for money remittances (“Euronet”). Euronet is a payment institution regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority in the United Kingdom under registration number 504630. Its registered office is at 7th Floor, North Block, 55 Baker Street, London W1U 7EU. For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, Ria Financial Services Limited and its affiliates involved in providing Ria money remittance/transfer services are collectively referred to as "Ria."

Eligibility

The Prize Draw is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged eighteen (18) or older at the time of sending a money remittance using the RIA money remittance service. Entrants must be registered customers of Ria at the time of entry and meet the "How to Enter the Prize Draw" requirements outlined below. Employees, officers, directors, and contractors of Ria, as well as their immediate families, are not eligible to enter or win.

How to Enter the Prize Draw

An Entrant will be automatically entered into the Prize Draw each time they send a money remittance with RIA (each a “Remittance Order”) using our Flagship Stores listed below:

-          Ria Elephant and Castle. 28b Arch Street, London, SE1 6AS

-          Ria Brixton. 411a Brixton Road, London, SW9 7DG

to any designated beneficiary ("Beneficiary") in any country. The Remittance Order must be processed and paid out to the Beneficiary during the Prize Draw Period to qualify. Remittance Orders that are cancelled or suspended for any reason will not be eligible for the Prize Draw.
By entering, Entrants accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Participation is also contingent on compliance with the terms and conditions applicable to the Ria money remittance service.

Prize Draw Period

The Prize Draw begins on 22nd December 2025at 00:00 (BST) and ends on 11th of January 2026 at 23:59 (BST) ("Prize Draw Period").

The Prize Draw

The New Year Hamper Prize Draw will occur on 16th January 2026, where one winner will be randomly selected from eligible entries for each store.

 

Prizes

The Prize Draw will offer one (1) New Year Hamper, each containing a curated selection of holiday Latin-American treats and gifts, with an approximate retail value ("ARV") of GBP £90 per hamper (“the Prize”).

Selection of the Prize Draw Winning Entrants

Winners will be selected through a random draw conducted by a computer process overseen by RIA. If an Entrant is selected as a winner, they will not be eligible for further prizes in this Prize Draw. Additional draws may be conducted to select replacement winners if required.

Notification to Winning Entrants

Winning Entrants will be notified via text message, phone call, or email within ten (10) business days of the draw. Winners will be informed of the address where they can collect their Prize, which will be within the UK. If a winner does not respond within five (5) business days of notification, their Prize will be forfeited, and another winner may be selected following the process described above.
Before receiving the Prize, winners must provide valid identification to RIA’s satisfaction. RIA reserves the right to withhold the Prize if the winner fails to provide such verification.

General Conditions

The decision of RIA regarding any aspect of the Prize Draw is final. The Prize cannot be substituted, transferred, or exchanged for cash by the winner. However, RIA reserves the right to provide an equivalent substitute if the advertised Prize becomes unavailable.

RIA will not be responsible for any loss or damage to the Prize once it has been collected. RIA reserves the right to suspend or modify the Prize Draw or these Terms and Conditions due to unforeseen events beyond its control or in cases of suspected fraud or non-compliance with these terms.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be submitted to the courts in the United Kingdom.

Data Privacy

Entrants’ personal data will be processed in accordance with RIA’s Privacy Policy, available at https://www.riamoneytransfer.com/en-us/privacy-policy/. By entering the Prize Draw, Entrants confirm they have read and agreed to the Privacy Policy.
