Do not send money:
to a stranger. Only send money to people you know in person!
to pay for an online purchase;
to someone claiming to be a relative in a crisis or emergency you are unaware of;
for a deposit or payment on a rental property;
to obtain antivirus protection;
for a purchase order you don't recognize;
to pay rent;
for a credit card loan commission;
to collect a lottery prize;
to resolve an immigration matter.
✓ Never share the transaction reference number or recipient details with anyone other than the intended recipient.
✓ If you have reason to believe you are being scammed, DO NOT CONTINUE WITH THE TRANSFER and immediately report it to Ria's anti-fraud department. Call 600 586 7777 or email cumplimientochile@riafinancial.com.
✓ Remember that when you send money, the recipient will receive it quickly. Once the money has been paid, Ria will not be able to refund it, even if you have been a victim of fraud.
