Sending money from your bank account with Ria Money Transfer is a great option. It’s popular, in part, due to its low fees and enhanced security. To prevent fraud, any bank account added as a payment method must be verified. Keep reading to learn more about what verification method is right for you!

Manual verification

This first method is a classic!

To verify manually, locate Payment methods in the Ria app or website and enter your bank routing and account numbers.

Within 24 hours of entering this information, Ria will send two micro-deposits of less than $1 to your bank account. Once those amounts are received, enter the values into the Payment methods section. Enter the values exactly as you see them. You have three attempts to enter to correct amount before your bank account is disabled as a payment method.

Once the values are correctly entered, you’ll be able to use your bank account with Ria in 48 hours or less!

If you are on a time crunch, check out instant verification.

Instant verification

Ria has partnered with Plaid, a financial verification service, to make bank verification secure, private, and fast.

Plaid utilizes end-to-end encryption, ensuring that your information is safe throughout the entire verification process. In addition, Plaid does not share any of your financial information with other companies. The information you share is only used to verify your bank account — that’s it.

The process is simple. Log into your Ria account on the website or app, add your bank account, and select Verify instantly on the screen.

If your bank is supported by Plaid, you will be directed to log into your bank account and answer a few security questions. Answer them correctly and you’ll instantly have access to your bank account to start sending money internationally.

Now, have you decided what verification method is right for you? Log into your account or download the Ria app to sign up and get started today.
